So honest question: In what fantasy world does continually pestering someone through DMs over a period of months get you hired for a commission?

When someone tells you, "Sorry, I don't have the funds to spare right now," what drives you to ask, "Are you sure? I could really use the work." Do you think they're lying? Why don't you believe them, and instead piss off and leave that person be?
